I know i'm a few days late to this but i think it's just incredible that some shit like this can still happen.

First of all, visa issues aren't a new thing in valorant, or even other e-sports or traditional sports as well, even this year in the big 2025 other teams are having some kind of visa issues, namely bbl and apeks , tho these are different for obvious reasons, chiwa is russian and we don't know who apek's fifth is (reportedly batujnex) , but furia has 5 brazilians.

They aren't even the only team with a full brazilian roster, 2g and loud join them as the three full brazilian rosters in americas this year, on top of that mibr and kru complete the lineup of (5/12) teams in americas with completely SA rosters; there's also a total of 14 brazilians without visa issues for this upcoming kickoff in los angeles, so what's different with furia's brazilians?

Thing is that furia aren't even like a new org or anything, they were in the first champs after narrowly missing out on the first two international masters, and they've been around since, and they are having visa issues after 4 years in the scene?

And of course, this sucks: this sucks for the roster, who are missing out on a tournament they have been preparing for since the end of august, that is 5 whole months, it sucks for the org, it sucks for riot and the viewers, but you know for who it doesn't suck? the emergency roster that will play for furia, these guys have a unique chance to play in a tournament they weren't even supposed to play in, it will be undeniably interesting to see what this group, likely haphazardly put together in a hurry, can do,
who knows, they might just win the whole thing ;)
